Getting Rooted

Rooted Recovery Solutions was founded in March 2026 to provide high-quality, concierge-level medical, addiction, and psychiatric care to individuals in early recovery — particularly those who struggle to maintain their recovery. Our mission is rooted in the understanding that addiction rarely exists in isolation from mental and general health challenges. We believe that abstinence and recovery are two different objectives. While one simply defines a physical state, the other defines a way of life which is independent, happy, joyous and free of institutional dependency.

We believe true recovery happens when people are supported by groups who have deep insight and expertise in the critical early stages of recovery, then successfully transitioned to sustainable recovery communities for ongoing support. By delivering personalized care without regard to insurance status or ability to pay, we aim to break the cycle of long-term and repeated agency dependency and help individuals build lasting stability through recovery community involvement and independence. The team merges multi-disciplinary clinical expertise with evidence-based methodologies to deliver comprehensive wellness strategies that optimize individual health outcomes while enhancing the operational performance of partner organizations.

By maintaining a commitment to continuous research, rigorous quality controls, and multidisciplinary collaboration, the organization implements scalable programs that facilitate preventive care, chronic disease management, and eases your agencys workload across diverse settings.

Dr. Peter Corpus, MD

Dr. Peter A. Corpus, MD, is a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist based in Cleveland, Ohio. With more than 20 years of dedicated experience in psychiatry, he provides compassionate, comprehensive mental health care to adults, children, adolescents, and their families.

Dr. Corpus’s journey in medicine began with a strong foundation in pharmacology. Before entering medical school, he worked as a pharmacist for over a decade — an experience that gave him a unique and in-depth understanding of how substances interact with the brain. This background, combined with his medical training, fostered a deep appreciation for the complex origins of addiction: the interplay of genetic vulnerability, early trauma, neurobiological changes, environmental influences, and untreated mental health conditions that often underlie addictive behaviors.

He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2005, followed by a residency in Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University / University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Corpus has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues in youth.

At the heart of Dr. Corpus’s practice is a philosophy of autonomous recovery. He believes that true, lasting healing comes not from dependence on medication alone, but from empowering individuals — and their families — to build internal resilience, self-awareness, and self-efficacy. While he skillfully uses psychiatric medications when clinically indicated, his approach prioritizes helping people develop their own capacity for regulation, healthy coping, and intrinsic motivation. He views recovery as an active, personal journey in which the patient is the central agent of change, supported by evidence-based care, family involvement, and a strong therapeutic alliance.

Dr. Corpus brings deep clinical insight, pharmacological expertise, and a profound respect for the human capacity for growth and self-directed recovery. His collaborative spirit and lifelong commitment continue to support the mental health and well-being of young people and families across Northeast Ohio.
